A-League Round 16 Preview

Adelaide United v. Gold Coast United

Gold Coast have won last 4 and welcome back Bruce Djite and have never lost to the Reds, meanwhile Adelaide have lost 3 of their last 5 matches and will want to hold on to their 2nd place spot.

Wellington Phoenix v. Melbourne Victory

The Victory haven’t won in three and must win this game in order to remain in the finals mix. However Wellington are on the back of a 2-0 win against Melbourne Heart and will overtake the Victory into 6th place with a victory.

Melbourne Heart v. Sydney FC

The first meeting between these two sides and the Heart will hope to grab all three points after three consecutive losses. Sydney on the other hand will hope the form of Brosque can aid their hopes for a finals place.

central coast v. Brisbane Roar

If the Roar avoid defeat they will break the record for consecutive games undefeated with 14 games. The Mariners will be struggling with fitness after a hectic schedule and haven’t won in their last three matches.

North Queensland v. Perth Glory

Two teams in desperate need of a win, with the Fury unlucky against the Roar last week, while the Glory’s 2-3 loss flattered them. Perth also have injury and suspension troubles with Mitchell and Neville suspended, while Andy Todd, Jamie Harnwell and Victor Sikora are all out through injury.

There are also two midweek games:

Sydney FC v. Wellington Phoenix
Gold Coast United v. North Queensland Fury
