Champions League Week 4 Round-Up

In Group A
Spurs beat Inter 3-1 in a complete domination of the Champions League holders, while FC Twente condemned Werder Bremen to an early exit with a 2-0 victory.

In Group B
Benfica prevented Lyon qualification to the next round with a thrilling 4-3 win at home. While Hapoel Tel Aviv went out of all European competitions as they could only draw 0-0 to Schalke, who are still in with a chance.

In Group C
Man Utd remained unbeaten with a 3-0 win over Bursaspor, while Rangers got pumped 3-0 away to Valencia. The Group is still tight with Man U, Valencia and Rangers all still able to top the group.

In Group D
Copenhagen got a brilliant 1-1 draw at home to Barca, which keeps them on course to qualify for the knock-out stages. Another 0-0 draw was played out between Rubin Kazan and Panathinaikos

In Group E

Bayern qualified for the next level with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Cluj-Napoca, while Roma survived a scare with a 3-2 win away to Basel, and should get through as well.

In Group F
Chelsea all but qualified with a 4-1 victory over Spartak Moscow. And Marseille got their campaign back on track with a 7-0 thumping of MSK Zilina.

In Group G

Milan managed a 2-2 with Real Madrid, though had been 2 goals ahead thank to Inzaghi, Madrid scored the equaliser in the 90th. Meanwhile Auxerre denied Ajax taking 2nd spot with a 2-1 win.

In Group H

Partizan Belgrade 0-1 Braga
Arsenal failed to secure qualification for the next stage after losing to Shakhtar Donetsk 2-1, who are now level on points with the Gunners. Braga kept up the heat with a 1-0 win over Partizan Belgrade, who haven’t picked up a point yet..
