A-League Week 13 Preview

Queensland Fury v. central coast

mariners are coming off a 5-0 victory against over Perth and will hope to consolidate their place in the top 6th, Fury are looking to climb up the table after winning one games in 8 matches. mariners should take this one as Queensland are further distracted by their financial position as well as Pasfield’s decision to leave at the end of the season.
central coast (1-2)

Melbourne Victory v. Gold Coast

Victory and Gold Coast are both in good form, coming off 2-1 wins last round. Gold Coast are starting to look like top 3 material and will face a tough test against Melbourne. Stalemate will result.
Draw (2-2)

Brisbane Roar v. Adelaide United

The two top sides of the League clash on Saturday night, though the Reds are having some tough injury troubles, while Brisbane are in a confident mood after becoming the first side to beat Wellington at home this season. Roar should win this one and I think they’re starting to find their finishing touch, my tip for the title.
Brisbane (2-0)

Sydney FC v. Newcastle

The two bottom teams face off in a massive game for both sides. Whoever loses will be rooted in last place and will struggle to make the finals. The Jets looked atrocious against the Heart and will not be helped with news that Wehrman and Milicevic will both be benched after clashing on the training pitch. Meanwhile Sydney are starting to find some form and Cazarine is in great scoring form. Will be tough for Jets, hopefully they can snatch some points.
Draw (0-0)

Perth v. Wellington

Perth stopped the rot against the Heart last week with a credible 0-0 draw, but will face a tough match against the Phoenix. With the long trip across the Tasman as well as Oz I think Perth should defeat Wellington here.
Perth (2-0)

Adelaide v. Perth

Perth double up this week on Wednesday against an Adelaide team who will have returned from their top of the table clash with Roar. Even if they get a win against Wellington I think the Reds should triumph here..
Adelaide (1-0)

North Queensland v. Melbourne Heart

Queensland are in a rut, while the Heart have had a rest after the 2-0 win against Melbourne Heart last week. The Fury have played entertaining football but can’t seem to get the points, hopefully they can use the double header against the mariners and Heart to climb the table.
Fury 3-2
