A-League Round 12 – Midweek Preview

There’s two midweek games in the A-League, with Brisbane playing their second away match in 5 days, while Perth will hope home advantage helps them see off an in-form Melbourne Heart side.

Wellington v. Brisbane (Wednesday)

The Roar just cannot finish the amazing amount of chances they create, while Wellington have been rested and have home advantage. It will be a good game and Kiwi International Simon Elliot could make an appearance after signing for the Phoenix on a short-term injury replacement deal. I’m gonna tip an unlikely away win.
Brisbane 1-2

Perth v. Melbourne Heart (Wednesday)

It’s hard to see Perth ending their losing streak against the Heart, who are in fine form and could also welcome back Alex Terra and Aloisi back to the line-up. They looked alright against the Jets, without reaching spectacular heights and the performance of Sibon in the role behind the two strikers once again proved a winner. Perth on the other hand are in a massive rut and Ian Ferguson will most likely wield the axe in the hope of finding a winning formula. The embarrassment of the Central Coast loss will spur on Perth to a shock win. Otherwise I don’t see them making the top-6. If a 5-0 loss can’t muster a response nothing will..I’m ‘hoping’ the home side can get ahead
Perth 2-0
