Francis Jeffers has officially signed a 1-match guest appearance for the Newcastle Jets. This is great news, and I believe Jeffers will really add something to our attack. He has the class and finishing ability, which is essential as Bridges is still out for the foreseeable future.
He should be in the squad for the Adelaide visit on November 13th.

Ken Edwards commented,

“He comes to the Jets at a time when he is on the right side of thirty and hungry to showcase his abilities on the Hyundai A-League stage. We are excited about the prospect of seeing Francis forming a focal point of our attack and exploiting the goal-scoring opportunities that may come his way.”

Branko commented,

“We are excited to have him on board. He is a player with great pedigree who has played at a high level and we hope his experience and knowledge will rub off on many of our younger players.”

The player himself said,

“I like what is happening with the club. It is an exciting period here and hopefully I would be able to assist the Jets to climb up the ladder during my time here. The lads and everybody at the club has been great and made me feel welcome from the time I landed and I cant wait to get going.”

Sweet let’s hope we see two up front and some pretty football from the lads.
