Mark Bosnich has revealed an elaborate theory about the Wayne Rooney saga. He believes Ferguson was behind the events, asking Rooney to come out and express his desire to move, in order for the Man Utd board offer him more wages. This in turn would raise the salary ceiling, which would allow Ferguson to sign more high profile, quality signings.

This sounds farfetched, though Bozza stands by his statements, and as a former Man Utd player he’s in a good position to know. Strange though, and if true very daring of Ferguson…

Newcastle play Arsenal tonight and I’ll be getting up to watch it via some sort of stream. Should be a good game, neither side will be selecting their strongest line-ups yet there will still be a fair few first team players from both clubs.

Hughton will most likely give Ameobi, Lovenkrands, Guthrie and Smith a start, while youngsters Kadar, Ranger, Vukic, Donaldson and Ferguson a chance to shine as well. There could be a first start for keeper Solderberg as Hughton gives current first team keeper Krul a rest.

Walcott and Bendtner will most likely start for Arsenal as they aim to gain match fitness following injury layoffs, while Vela, Gibbs, Emmanuel-Thomas, Szczesny and Lansbury could also feature. Koscielny will also probably start on his return from a back injury.

Will do the match report tomorrow. Get pumped…
