Just a quick look at some of the more interesting games from the European Leagues…
Mainz v. Hamburg
The leaders are as yet undefeated and have won a maximum number of points to boot as they host Hamburg, who will look to move into the top six.
Cologne v. Borussia Dortmund
Dortmund will be looking to keep the pace with Mainz with a 7th game unbeaten, while Podolski’s Cologne will want to drag themselves out of the relegation zone.
Schalke v. Stuttgart
This will be a hard fought match as the bottom two teams will be intent on getting out of the bottom three
Bayern Munich v. Hannover
The former Champions host high flying Hannover as they try to kick start their season after a terrible start.
Barcelona v. Valencia
Will be the pick of the round easy, as Barca look to topple Valencia from the top of the table, in what will be the the first test for the undefeated club.
Deportivo v. Osasuna
The Coruna club are still searching for their first win as they hold up the rest of the table.
Malaga v. Real Madrid
Home advantage won’t count for much as the Andalusian club host Jose Mourinho’s Real. A 6-0 win last week could be an omen.
Hercules v. Villarreal
The Yellow Submarine will want to keep pace with Valencia and possibly take over them for top spot with a win over the newly promoted club who beat Barcelona 2-0 earlier in the season.
AC Milan v. Chievo Verona
Surprise package Verona travel to AC in a bid to stay in touch with the top 4, while Ibrahimovich and co. will have the chance to go top for at least a day.
Roma v. Genoa
In the other Saturday game Roma will want to get out of the relegation zone against mid-table Genoa
Bari v. Lazio
Bari host an in form Lazio who are leading the league since losing their only match in the opening round of the season.
